Conversation
Do you need to improve your English conversation/speaking skills? Maybe your job requires you to speak in English to business partners in other countries. Or, you just want to improve your speaking to give yourself better job prospects. Or, you might just want to improve in certain aspects of English conversation. If so, we can help you with a need-based, individualised-programme of English, or one-off lessons.
GRAMMAR
Aspects of English grammar can be tricky and difficult to master. Each student has their own strengths and weaknesses in grammar acquisition. After taking a free detailed grammar test, you can expect to receive first-class tuition to strengthen any weaknesses that you have in your grammar to enable you to use your English more accurately and with a wider range of skill.

Meet the teachers
David Pickett
David has been teaching guitar and English for the past 35 years. His English teaching career started when he set up an English teaching centre in Tak, Thailand along with his wife, Dot. On moving back to the UK, he has worked in language schools, hospital education departments, teacher training, online courses, and teaching home-stay English courses to students who have stayed and studied in their home in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. He is an OET-recognised provider of quality OET/English tuition.
Dot Pickett
Dot Pickett has been an English teacher for most of her career starting in Chiangmai, Thailand. She also set up an English teaching centre in Tak, Thailand along with her husband, David. Since then she has worked in language schools here in the UK and privately in her home in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England.

The mix between 'normal' lessons and speaking was the most useful to me because it's the best way to learn.
I don't know how the treaching methods can be improved, it was very good.
After just a few sessions so far my son feels he’s making some progress. He says he has a better understanding of one of his GCSE English literature set texts already. He feels at ease during the sessions. Full use is made of the time available and homework is set and a plan agreed for each next session, taking into consideration areas that he would like help with as well. The course materials are very well and have been very useful.
I've been twice to the same family (Pickett family) to improve my English. The family is very cool, you feel at home straight away. I have had four hours of lessons a day. I think that four hours a day's great because you learn a lot, but it isn't too much. I have improved my accent, my vocabulary. Now I feel more confident with my English. In the afternoon, after the lessons we had lots of activities. I went segwaying, shopping, swimming and I saw the airshow of Bournemouth and lots of other things. I really enjoyed this trip.
Really enjoyed my experience in that lovely house. I still remember how our teacher helped us to improve our bad English while we couldn't stop laughing! Best wishes!
Dot Pickett was a really good teacher and always made the lessons interesting and fun. All the lesson were very organised and had a good structure. The stuff that she taught was very applicable to my work and exams and the writing skills were taught in an easy way to understand.
